You train it by scanning your website, uploading PDFs, pasting text, or importing CSVs. The AI extracts knowledge automatically. You can also add entries manually or correct the bot's responses to create "golden pairs" that take priority.

Yes. The widget meets WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards — full keyboard navigation, screen reader support, ARIA labels, and voice control. It's also designed with EU AI Act transparency requirements: the bot identifies itself as AI, conversations are logged for human oversight, and guardrails prevent harmful outputs.

The agent responds in whatever language your visitors write in — 119+ languages including Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and regional languages like Catalan, Basque, Galician, and Valencian. Language detection happens per-message.

The widget caches your knowledge content locally. If a visitor loses connection, the agent still matches questions against cached answers using fuzzy matching. Messages are queued and automatically sent when connectivity returns.

All data is processed on Cloudflare's global edge network. We don't use third-party AI providers — all AI inference runs on our own infrastructure. Data retention follows GDPR guidelines with automatic cleanup after 12 months. No data leaves our systems.

The EAA (Directive 2019/882) is an EU law requiring digital products and services to be accessible to persons with disabilities. It came into force on June 28, 2025. Businesses offering websites, e-commerce, banking, or customer support to EU consumers must meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Non-compliance can result in fines, service restrictions, and legal liability.

Penalties vary by EU member state. Spain can impose fines up to €1 million. Germany up to €100,000. France fines up to €50,000 per infringement. All member states can order service suspension. Beyond fines, non-compliance damages brand reputation and excludes 87 million Europeans with disabilities from your business.

Yes. AISWise is designed with EU AI Act (Regulation 2024/1689) requirements built in. The bot identifies itself as AI when asked. All conversations are logged with unique IDs and timestamps for human oversight. The guardrail system prevents harmful, discriminatory, or off-topic content. Human handoff is available for cases requiring human judgment.

Yes. When Live Chat Handoff is enabled (Pro plan and above), visitors can request a human at any time. The bot can also automatically suggest handoff when it detects it cannot answer well. You receive an email notification and reply from the dashboard in real time.

AISWise uses a 3-strike progressive guardrail system. On the first off-topic question, the bot answers briefly and redirects. On the second, it warns. After the third, it refuses off-topic questions entirely. Additionally, a groundedness check verifies every response against your knowledge base — the bot never invents services, prices, or data.

Yes. Set a custom bot name, upload your logo, choose brand colors for every element (header, messages, input area), and add personality instructions via a system prompt. On Pro plans and above, the AISWise branding is removed entirely — the widget appears as fully yours.

No. Accessibility overlays are JavaScript widgets that add a toolbar on top of your website. They don't fix the underlying HTML, CSS, or ARIA issues — they paper over them. The European Disability Forum, the National Federation of the Blind, and hundreds of accessibility professionals have publicly stated that overlays do not make websites accessible. Some overlay vendors have faced lawsuits for misleading compliance claims. The EAA requires built-in accessibility, not cosmetic patches.

No. The EAA requires the entire digital service to be accessible — navigation, forms, content, checkout, media, and customer support. An accessible chatbot covers the support channel, which is an important piece, but not the whole picture. AISWise currently provides the most accessible AI support available. Our roadmap goes further: AI agents that can adapt your entire web experience to be accessible, going beyond what overlays or chatbots alone can achieve.
